OUR TEAM
In 1970, Lonnie Price dreamed of raising his children in a family friendly neighborhood within a rural location that would also provide a sense of community. He realized that dream when he purchased land in the heart of Fairfield County, close to the Wagnall's Memorial Library, home of Funk & Wagnall's Encyclopedias. Because the Wagnall's Family established a scholarship fund for Bloom Township residents attending college, Lonnie went along with the idea and named the property Collegeview Acres. Price Custom Homes, LLC and Price Development Corp. has gone on to become one of the most successful residential builders and developers in Fairfield County.
In 1990, Lonnie and his two sons, Mitch and Greg, purchased another large piece of property and developed Slate Ridge Estates. Studying the area and looking for only the best pieces of land to develop has been important to the Prices. They strive to create country-style communities in which neighbors have plenty of privacy, yet are close enough to experience the connectedness of a community. To date, Price Development has completed ten such developments - over the last 40 years.
Over the last twenty years Mitch and Greg have learned about all aspects of the building process. They have personally completed many of the various phases of building a home and are completely versed in the entire general contracting process. In 1996 Greg took a full-time position with a local building company, while Mitch and Lonnie focused on creating more neighborhoods. Eventually the Prices became partners with that builder, and more recently became the sole owners of the company.
Being family owned and operated, they take great pride in the homes they build. They seek to offer high quality homes at a very fair price and continually say that they "build each home as if it were their own". They aren't trying to be the biggest builder around, just the best! They specialize in customizing the details of a floor plan and are proud of the personal attention they provide in all aspects of the building process.

While we offer a number of floor plans in a variety of sizes and costs, they're really only starting points. Every home we build at Price Custom Homes is fully customizable to meet your needs and expectations. We can even build from your plans or help you design a one of a kind plan!

We itemize your costs so there are no questions or surprises. We outline all of the standards and optional features to take the guess-work out of it for you. There are three main factors that contribute to cost: lot, house and site improvements. Sadly, most builders don't even address the last one and customers are left with huge surprises at the end of the building process. At Price Custom Homes, we outline price to the very last detail.
Paperwork
With every building experience there will be paperwork. We do our best to keep it minimal and explain everything to you in great detail. Everything you read and sign is sent home with you for future reference.

Site Inspection & Pre-Construction Meeting
Before breaking ground, a Price Custom Homes professional will meet with you and the construction specialist on your lot, prior to home construction so proper placement of your beautiful new home is achieved. Yet another meeting is scheduled with you just before beginning construction to go over last minute details.
Home Construction
We are there every step of the way throughout home construction. We personally oversee every project and are available for consultation at any point in time.
